We Do Group are delighted to be supporting a local government in West London, recruiting a Contract Manager to manage the contract with the shared service centre provider.

This is a key role to drive the performance of the SSC service provider, partnering internally with Finance & HR and externally with the SSC service provider.

Hybrid working**:4 days from home, 1 day in the office**
Salary**:£57,000 - £65,000 p/a**

**The Role**
- You will be the focus for the strategic and operational contract management for finance and procurement related contracts, including the contracts for transactional services, pensions services, financial systems and banking and payment services
- You'll maintain excellent relationships with both the service providers and the areas they provide service to, ensuring that ongoing operational needs are met by the contracts we hold and that there is evidence of control and delivery against KPIs
- You will demonstrate commercial acumen in negotiations with 3rd party suppliers to deliver tangible improvements in value for money achieved through contracts
- You will take a broad and creative view in establishing a forward plan for contracted services and drive transformational opportunities that support the finance and procurement strategies and the council's Corporate Plan
- You will be at the heart of celebrating what the council has to offer and developing a strong, unified brand and identity - a whole council, whole borough approach - which galvanises communities, attracts people to the borough and makes us an influentialvoice for our residents
- You'll work effectively as one of the council’s managers, delivering corporate objectives through the work of service departments
- You’ll act as an ambassador for the borough, promoting and developing the council’s image and championing the interests of the council’s community, stakeholders and partners
- You’ll demonstrate and ensure high standards of probity and compliance with council policy, standing orders and the law
- You’re a role model for effective and positive management behaviour that is outcome focused and forward-looking
- You’ll promote equality of opportunity and the recognition of diversity in the delivery of services and in employment practices
- You'll form effective working arrangements with members, partners, government departments, user groups, businesses and voluntary sector groups
- You'll work as part of multi-disciplinary teams to enable the breaking down of departmental barriers and delivery of transformational projects
- You'll develop outstanding business relationships with service departments, members, partners and 3rd party providers and be a highly visible role model within the service and across the council
- You'll oversee the key third party contracts delivering services to the finance and procurement function, including the governance to assure operational delivery and performance
- You'll maintain a high level of expertise and keep up-to-date on developments, best practice and legislative changes that impact the services delivered through third parties
- You'll support and pursue a strategic agenda with services that are or could be contracted, seeking creative and transformational ways that service partnerships support our financial, operational and corporate goals
- You'll provide accurate, timely and readily understood contractual and third party service information to the senior leadership team and members
- You'll ensure an appropriate and evidence
- based level of control and monitoring for the finance and procurement services delivered under third party contracts
