**Parking Appeals Officer - Ref EE00223**
**Salary: Grade 6 - £25,878 - £30,151 per annum**
**Contract: 24 months fixed term position in order to maintain our existing statutory compliance for the processing of Penalty Charge Notices**

Parking Services currently manages the provision and maintenance of car parks and the civil enforcement of parking and bus lane facilities throughout the borough.

Additional work load has been created within the Parking Office with bus lane and CCTV enforcement of bus lanes and school keep clear areas. We are looking to increase the back office team to work particularly in the field of processing of parking and bus lane appeals and consideration of representations through to adjudication stage.

The ideal applicant will have an understanding of the legislative framework used in the adjudication of parking and bus lane appeals. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to deal with a range of enquiries from the general public often in challenging circumstances both in writing and by telephone. They will be capable of undertaking high volume data input, retrieval and interrogation, whilst maintaining levels of accuracy and consistency required to support the parking adjudication process.
