This role would involve teaching several health and social care qualifications including Level 1 Award in Introduction to Health and Social Care, and a Level 1 Award in Awareness of Safeguarding and Prevent. In addition, the role would develop students’ employability skills to prepare the students to be successful in future job interviews. We have excellent resources and a modern suite of classrooms.

The main duties of the post holder are:

- Teach skills for employment to adult students interested in Health and Social Care job roles.
- To contribute to the review, planning and development of the Employability curriculum at Southwark College
- To work with the Employability team to develop Schemes of Learning, lesson plans and new teaching materials.
- To assess student work and provide feedback to support learners to develop their skills and maximise their potential.
- Promote a rigorous approach to quality, ensuring that all student work is robustly marked and assessed. Including participating in any IQA activities that are required.
- Keep accurate records of all student progress including registers, mark books and records in eTrackr.
