Entry Level or Junior Building Surveyor with some experience of working in a property/asset environment, office experience and good IT skills is required for a well-established organisation based in Norwich, Norfolk.

The following wide spectrum of qualification and experience levels will be considered:
**Entry Level**: Educated to degree level or relevant experience and ability to enrol on an accredited course

**Part qualified**: Commitment to completion of professional RICS qualifications

**Newly qualified**: Competed APC and gained MRICS

**SALARY**: £25,409 - £38,296 per annum + Benefits

**LOCATION**: Hybrid role - working part from the office in Norwich, Norfolk and part from home

**JOB TYPE**: Full-Time, Permanent

**WORKING HOURS**: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Entry Level or Junior Building Surveyor with some experience of working in a property/asset environment, office experience and good IT skills.

As the Entry Level or Junior Building Surveyor you will report to the Strategic Asset Manager and will work with the assistance of senior colleagues.

Working as the Entry Level or Junior Building Surveyor you will assist in the management of non-housing property assets in the strategic asset management team.

DUTIES

Your main duties as Entry Level or Junior Building Surveyor will include:
Assist in the management of non-housing property assets in the strategic asset management team

Provide professional and technical support to the council’s estate management and strategic asset management functions

Provide professional assistance and advice to surveyor colleagues to assist the delivery and maintenance of an efficient and effective property service

Provide a customer focused service for internal and external customers which is focused on excellent delivery, service improvement and maximising efficiency

Contribute to the delivery of an effective and focused Property & Economic Development service for the organisation

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Education to degree level (or equivalent) or relevant experience and ability to enrol on an accredited course

Commitment to completion of professional RICS qualifications

Experience of working in a property/asset environment

An appreciation of the legislation which underpins the work of a surveyor/property team

An appreciation of the operation of local government

Experience of working in an office environment, including the appropriate use of information technology

Appreciation of processes involved and to demonstrate an ability to provide effective and responsive property service on a range of activities covered by the team

Appreciation of current issues and developments affecting property and asset management and local government in Norwich

Understand the development of regeneration priorities and the ability to think through what processes are needed to achieve delivery of asset management/development and project work

Good communication and organisational skills

**BENEFITS**:
Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)

Paid holiday entitlement starts at 26 days per annum and increases with length of service to a maximum of 33 days per annum. This is pro rata for part-time employees
