Reporting directly to the Head of Testing, as a Senior QA Tester at Monarch, you will play a critical role in guaranteeing the quality and performance of our E-Commerce and E-learning web services through comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, identify potential issues, and execute test plans to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability. At Monarch we utilise the full Microsoft product stack, C#,.NET Core and SQL Server.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Test Planning and Strategy**
- Help develop and implement test strategies, plans, and test cases as directed by Head of Testing to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing objectives, timelines, and success criteria.
- **Test Execution and Documentation**
- Execute test cases across multiple platforms and environments, including web, mobile, and desktop.
- Document test results, defects, and issues in a clear and concise manner using JIRA/Azure Dev-Ops.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases.
- **Automation and Tooling**
- Utilize automated testing tools (Selenium) and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional and regression testing.
- Identify opportunities for test automation and implement appropriate solutions.
- **Defect Management and Resolution**
- Identify, track, and prioritize defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Work closely with our developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improving product quality and reliability.
- **Team Leadership and Mentoring**
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in testing methodologies and techniques as set by our Head of Testing.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance/testing roles, with a focus on manual and automated testing.
- Proven expertise in test planning, execution, and defect management.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in C#/.NET and SQL Server.
- CI/CD Integration: Experience with integrating testing procedures into CI/CD pipelines, especially in Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools and frameworks (e.g. BDD, Selenium, NUnit).
- Hands-on experience in API testing (Automation, Manual).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.

The role will be based at our Warwick office. We operate a hybrid work from home policy with 2 days a week in the office (usually Tuesday/Wednesday).

**Salary**: Commensurate on the applicants experience and knowledge and discussed during your interview. These are usually held as an initial telephone/teams conversation. A second, face-to-face, interview will then be held for those progressing past the first interview. These are usually held as a Microsoft Teams call.

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
