An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Lanarkshire Trauma and Orthopaedic team for a part time Band 4 Generic Assistant Practitioner for the purposes of weekend working. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic allied health professional team at University Hospital Wishaw.

Recruitment for Saturday and Sunday service provision is flexible and negotiable e.g. one to two shifts per week or less, depending on commitment. Appropriate training and support will be provided to develop staff joining the physiotherapy and occupational therapy team.

**Knowledge, Training and/or Experience required to do the job**
- Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
- Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
- Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time management, planning and organisational skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.

**Please note: The post holder must be a Car driver with valid driving Full UK or EU driver’s licence and may have to work 5/7**
