**Kennel & Cattery Assistant**

**£10 per hour / increasing to £10.42 from April**

**Selby, Yorkshire**

We are recruiting a Kennel Assistant to work at an established Kennels for dogs and cats based in Wistow, Selby.

This role would suit an experienced individual and will involve working at the kennels both during the week and at weekends.

This role will involve providing a high level of animal care - exercising, cleaning and feeding dogs and assisting in a small cattery.

Hours of work: 5 days per week on a rota basis including weekends. We work a split day: 730am to 11am and 3pm to 530pm.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a genuine passion for dogs and cats
- A minimum Grade 3 qualification in animal care
- Being familiar with handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments is essential
- Physically capable
- Team player - able to work effectively in a small team
- Strong work ethic - reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions where needed
- Willingness to roll sleeves up and get hands dirty
- Extra hours available during peak / holiday season.

**Availability to work during the holiday season is essential.**
