Broadfield Mowers is a family run business operating in Sheffield for over 30 years. We have a large showroom and workshop close to the city centre where we both sell and repair garden machinery.

**Job Role**

We have a vacancy for experienced fitter to join our busy workshop servicing and repairing a wide range of garden machinery.

You will be required to work on 2 stroke and 4 stroke machines including but not limited to: Lawn mowers, Chainsaws, Hedge trimmers etc.

Knowledge of electrical repairs is preferred but not essential.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Routine maintenance of garden machinery
- Diagnostics and repairs of different types of equipment and machinery.
- Visiting customer sites and conducting services on equipment if necessary (Currently not offered due to Covid-19)
- Providing technical advice to future and existing customers

**Essential Skills**:

- A background in garden equipment maintenance, or some form of mechanical background/qualifications
- Knowledge of garden and small agricultural machinery; this can range from domestic machinery to commercial. Includes ride on tractors, quads, strimmers, chainsaws, lawn mowers etc.
- Good health and safety awareness
- Excellent customer service skills both face to face and over the telephone.
- Basic computer knowledge - will be required to source parts.

Some training will be provided however mechanecal experience is required.

The position is contracted at 37.5 hours per week. Typical working hours between 8am until 5.30pm.

There will be some Saturday shifts available between 4 and 7 hours if you wish to extend your working week.
