We have a brand-new opportunity for Claims Handlers to come and join our Home Claims department. This area is experiencing excellent growth and development so has the benefit of long-term progression opportunities.
You will be assisting and supporting our customers when they need us the most by proactively managing a portfolio of home claims cases and agreeing fair outcomes within policy and legal liability.
This role can be based locally to our Leicester or London offices with a hybrid approach to working. However, for the right person, we are also able to offer this role as a permanent homeworking opportunity.
**What will you be doing?**
- Gathering information to enable early arrival at the correct policy decision
- Settling claims within financial handling authority
- Identifying potentially fraudulent cases and liaise with the department to combat fraud
- Negotiating between the policy holder, solicitors and third parties to get the best outcome for our customers
- Managing and owning the customer experience
- Managing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Maintaining an awareness of changes in relevant legislation to understand the marketplace and handling approaches (and provide suggestions for improvements)

**What are we looking for?**
- Home claims handling experience
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Problem solving ability
- Ability to proactively manage own portfolio/workload
- Insurance based qualification (Cert CII) desirable but not essential
