**Role**: Yard Team Leader

**Location**: Elland, West Yorkshire

**Salary**: £12.50 per hour

**Hours**: 40 hours per week

XCL Group are currently recruiting for a Yard Team Leader for a manufacturing client based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Main purpose of the role would be to ensure the correct materials are supplied to the correct areas in a timely manner.

**Duties may include but not limited to**:

- Proactive in preventing accidents and reducing hazards always ensuring that high standards of housekeeping and safe working
- Attending monthly health and safety meetings and briefing other members of the team on its content
- Complete weekly audits (Health & Safety and 5S)
- Manage the goods in and goods out in the warehouse
- Stock control and replenishment
- Responsible for delivering key performance goals by maximising people, plant and process delivering high performance teams
- Responsible for all deliveries ensuring deliveries and offloaded efficiently and in a timely manner
- Assist and support supervisors within the yard
- Setting standards and implement people performance targets

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Managing colleagues, all yard functions including equipment and yard storage areas in line with Health and Safety policies
- Ensure operatives are working as per agreement
- Providing accurate information regarding stock information for dispatches and reports
- Maintenance of a clean, tidy, safe, workplace to high standards of health and safety.
- Being available to work outside normal shift pattern as and when the production needs require it.
- Responsible for accurate and regular stock takes

**Preferred Skills**
- Good English both verbally and written
- Organised
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Any relating qualifications/certificates
- Understanding of 5s
