**Responsibilities of the job**:

- managing over the counter sales of medication and providing healthcare advice to customers.
- to achieve the knowledge required for the above, it is compulsory to undergo a course to achieve the Medicine Counter Assistant qualification. This training will be fully sponsored.
- use of EPOS till system, maintaining stock levels, receiving and inputting orders, pricing, maintenance of the general appearance and cleanliness of the shop areas, and additionally expiry date checking of products.
- the potential to have involvement in the running of the pharmacy services e.g. becoming a stop-smoking advisor, allergy screening, diabetes screening, becoming a heath champion and other opportunities will be available.
- Dispensing medication for customers and using the dispensary computer system. To work in a dispensary, it is compulsory to complete the Dispensary Assistant Qualification. This training will be fully sponsored.

**Required work experience**:

- previous experience working in a pharmacy is preferable but not compulsory.
- previous experience working with EPOS is preferable but not compulsory.

**Skill Set required**:

- someone who is able to provide excellent customer service in a professional and friendly manner
- someone with drive, motivation to learn and willingness to study and complete the required courses
- someone who is a team player; willing to work with others to achieve a main goal
- someone who is willing to take responsibility for their actions-this is a healthcare job and therefore carries a lot of responsibility
- someone with good computer skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
