Mrc Centre Early Career Research Fellow

You are **required to produce a research proposal** describing your plans to carry out an ambitious research programme in one of the Centre’s core research areas. Proposals must be relevant to the Centre’s research scope and their focus should fall within at least one of the following key areas:
- Environmental Epidemiology and Exposure Sciences
- Molecular Epidemiology
- Spatial Epidemiology, including small-area and GIS
- Biostatistics, Computational Biology and Data Science
- Climate Change and Health
Multidisciplinary cross-Centre proposals are encouraged.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
You will be **responsible for the development of your independent research programme**, establishing collaborations with other internal and external partners where relevant, under the supervision of your chosen mentor. You will be expected to present your work at significant conferences, publish in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals and contribute to the preparation of research grants and Fellowship proposals.
**Essential requirements**:
You **must have a PhD or equivalent,** awarded prior to the fellowship start date, in one of the key areas listed above or a related field of study.
**Further information**:
This is a **full time, fixed-term** post for 24 months maximum **until 31 May 2026. **The salary range (£45,593 - £53,630) is fixed so applicants should ensure it meets their experience and expectations. Full salary costs are provided as well as appropriate research expenses.
