You will be responsible for completing all inhouse HR services and activity: including all HR services for Sainsbury’s Bank and a number of complex and sensitive HR processes. The broad range of activities requires a strong colleague focus, flexibility and a strong eye for accuracy and detail to ensure that quality is maintained, whilst remaining in line with team SLAs.

You will interact with managers and colleagues through case management tools and a telephony service and the highest level of customer service will be required. You will need a strong understanding of HR processes and policies with a high focus on quality and the ability to proactively identify process and service improvements.

**What you need to do**
- Deliver all Bank HR administration, including contractual changes and pay impacting changes
- Provide HR query advice (Ask HR) & pay queries to Bank colleagues and managers
- Death in Service Support for bereaved families and internal stakeholders, and the administration of death in service payments, including hand-off to BPO and pensions teams
- Veteran’s support, including discount card admin and query management, the Veterans magazine and website
- Oversight of Long Service letters, administration of vouchers, and query management
- Responding to Subject Access Requests for Bank colleagues
- Physical Document Maintenance
- Drive efficiencies and improvements in internal processes and service
- Review and respond to queries and address escalated risks relating to internal processes

**What you need to know and show**
- Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy, whilst working at pace
- Flexible approach to adapt to changing demands
- Strong customer focus, with experience of handling different customer groups
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, to ensure high quality interactions with colleagues & managers
- Good knowledge of a broad range of HR operational processes, policies and services
- Experience of working in specialist services, such as, background checking, veterans, death in service is desirable
- Experience of advising in a generalist or specialist HR role, such as Family Matters, Employee Relations is desirable

**What decisions I can make including budget**
- Planning of workload in line with team SLAs
- Recommend changes to processes to HR Services Lead
- Escalations of issues where needed
