Guildford, United Kingdom halow project Full time

**Would you like to work in a caring, supportive environment where you can make a real difference to people’s lives?**

**Role**:Senior Supported Living Care Worker, supporting adults living independently with mild to moderate learning disabilities

**About The Role**

As an important part of
**halow**’s leadership team, our
**Senior Supported Living Care Workers** are responsible for managing the house they work at, to always ensure that the best possible support and opportunities to promote independence are offered to the adults who are in our supported living houses.

Our Supported Living team provide high-quality support to our young adults and help to plan their day-to-day lives whilst working to achieve their goals. This will involve providing encouragement and support on tasks within their own home including household chores, meal planning, shopping, preparing, and cooking nutritious meals, as well as helping them to plan and access their social life, activities, and engagements within the local community and further afield. Much like the amazing people you’ll be supporting, no two days are ever the same

This role will be responsible for organising the day-to-day running of their assigned house to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the people they are supporting, line managing their team members through meetings, supervisions, and reflective practices, and supporting the Care management team in keeping accurate records and meeting CQC regulations.

This role involves some lone working either with an individual or a small group, as well as within their assigned house team and the wider Care team, so adaptability and effective communications are vital. Some personal care and administration of medicine may be required depending on who you are supporting. You will be a part on an on-call system to provide support across the organisation.

**Company**:
**halow project**. We are a vibrant, growing charity based in Guildford that provides opportunities and support for over 200 young adults with learning disabilities to access social activities, educational programmes and supported living accommodation in south-west Surrey and beyond.

**Location**:The adults we support live in Guildford and Cranleigh but the diverse nature of the job may at times require you to work at different locations across Surrey in order to support, champion and engage the adults accessing halow supported living. Due to this it is desirable for our support workers to have a driver’s license and car. Mileage travelled for work purposes can be claimed as expenses.

**Hours**:Full time hours
**37.5** hours per week across five days, with an average of 2 sleep-ins per week. Opportunities to pick up overtime if desired. This role requires flexibility to work on a rota pattern covering Monday - Sunday each week across shifts patterns which include early shifts, day shifts, late shifts, sleep-ins and some weekends.

**Salary**: Starting at a competitive
**£12 per hour**, rising to
**£12.50 per hour** upon successful completion of your 6-month probationary period, and rising further to
**£13 per hour** once you start line managing. Sleep-ins are paid at a supplementary rate of
** £50 per night**.

Based on this schedule, the on-track-earnings estimate for this role means you could be earning approximately
**£28,000-£29,950 a year.**

**Annual Leave**: 30 days pro-rata, inclusive of bank holidays.

**Training**: You will receive fully paid training supplementing any previously completed relevant training, with further development opportunities also available including Positive Behaviour Support and opportunities to study for accredited National Vocational Qualifications.

**You’ll get access to great benefits including**:

- **
Free DBS check**:

- ** Free Blue Light Card membership**:
