**Would you like to work in a caring, supportive environment where you can make a real difference to people’s lives?**
**Role**:Senior Supported Living Care Worker, supporting adults living independently with mild to moderate learning disabilities as part of the **halow project**.
**Location**:The adults we support live in Guildford and Cranleigh but the diverse nature of the job may at times require you to work at different locations across Surrey in order to support, champion and engage the adults accessing **halow** supported living. Due to this it is desirable for our support workers to have a driver’s license and car. Mileage travelled for work purposes can be claimed as expenses.
**Hours**:Full time hours **37.5** hours per week across 5 days, with an average of 1 to 2 sleep-ins per week. This role requires flexibility to work on a rota pattern covering Monday - Sunday each week across shifts patterns which include early shifts, day shifts, late shifts, sleep-ins and some weekends. Opportunities to pick up overtime are available if desired. This role requires being part of an out of hours on call rota following induction into role.
**Salary**: Starting at a competitive **£12.46 per hour**, rising to **£12.97 per hour** upon successful completion of your 6-month probationary period, and rising further to **£13.48 per hour** once you start line managing. Sleep-ins are paid at a supplementary rate of** £50 per night**.
Based on this schedule, the on-track-earnings for this role means you will be earning approximately **£28,300-£30,300 a year.**
**Annual Leave**: 30 days pro-rata, inclusive of bank holidays.
**Training**: You will receive fully paid training supplementing any previously completed relevant training, with further development opportunities also available including Positive Behaviour Support and opportunities to study for accredited National Vocational Qualifications.
**You’ll get access to great benefits including**:
- **
Free Blue Light Card membership**:
- ** Retail discounts**:
- ** Free/discounted tickets for events, gigs and shows**:
- ** Workplace pension scheme**:
- ** Free eye tests**:
- ** Cycle2Work scheme**:
- ** 24-hour employee assistance program**:
- ** Travel season ticket advances**:
- ** Staff referral bonus scheme**
**About The Role**
As an important part of **halow**’s leadership team, our **Senior Supported Living Care Workers** are responsible for organising the day-to-day running of their assigned house to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and goal-oriented accomplishments of the people they are supporting. They also provide line management to their team members through meetings, supervisions, and reflective practices, whilst also supporting the Care management team in keeping accurate records and meeting CQC regulations. Much like the amazing people you’ll be supporting, no two days are ever the same
This role involves some lone working either with an individual or a small group, as well as within their assigned team of Support Workers and the wider Care team, so adaptability and effective communications are vital. Some personal care and administration of medicine may be required depending on who you are supporting. You will also form a part on an on-call system to provide out-of-hours support across the organisation.
**The nature of this role means that you must be at least 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
