Talbot Farm Landscapes Ltd is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Buyer, an important component of the team. The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for the daily operations of the department, including but not limited to purchasing and receiving of materials.

This individual will work closely with the Operaitons Manager to ensure all orders are received in a timely manner and in compliance with company standards. This individual will also assist in maintaining accurate records of all purchases and inventory control.

**What you need to succeed**:
The successful Buying Assistant will have a background of procurement within a landscaper, building main contractor or similar environment.

With excellent communication skills you will be able to coordinate with other departments and suppliers in the procurement process.

You will effectively and professionally carry out purchasing duties including in order to obtain cost efficient supplies of materials (trees, scrubs, fencing, soil, sand and aggregates).

You are a valuable team player in the preparation of bids and the winning of awards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Placing orders
- Controlling the supplier timetable
- Updating the team about any delays or problems with suppliers

- Negotiating contracts with suppliers
- Maintaining records of supplier contracts
- Staying up-to-date with industry and market trends

Maintaining strong relationships with vendors

Working Hours - Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm with a 30 minute lunch break.
