Reporting to: Head of Corporate Operations
Direct report: HR administrator

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Partner - Operations for a two-year fixed term contract to lead and improve the HR service we provide to our managers and employees.

The role would suit someone with a strong HR operations background and who has experience working in a small firm (c200). They will be responsible for the delivery of a seamless HR service, acting as a key point of contact for managers and employees on all operational HR matters, whilst refining and improving our policies and practices to ensure they are fit for purpose and in line with our culture and strategy.

Operating across multiple levels, the role holder needs to be adaptable and comfortable with managing competing priorities and complex issues whilst also working closely with our HR colleagues at Schroders to identify opportunities to align with their practices where it makes sense.

Duties include:

- Lead on all aspects of the employee life cycle including contract management, performance, payroll and employee benefits
- Manage recruitment including overseas placements, secondments and relocations
- Lead a review of all policies, processes and benefits, making recommendations and implementing changes as and when required
- Ensure all policies and processes are communicated effectively and promote a culture where all staff feel valued, respected and supported within their roles
- Support, advise and assist with employee relations matters
- Ensure payroll data is accurately processed each month and payroll and benefits’ queries are dealt with promptly
- Ensure our HR Management System is used effectively
- Provide performance management guidance to managers and support them in carrying

out their responsibilities including implementing performance improvement plans when

required
- Ensure compliance with all UK and European employment-related laws and regulations,

seeking specialist advice when needed
- Work with colleagues at Schroders to identify opportunities to collaborate and align where

appropriate
- The role holder will work with teams, managers and key stakeholders to help build

organisation and people capability, and shape and implement effective people processes

and practices within the organisation
- As key member of the Central team, contribute to the success of implementing strategies

on how we attract, retain and develop our people

Requirements for the role:

- A minimum of 5 years experience working successfully within an HR operational role.
- MCIPD or CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent)
- A passion for processes and continuous improvements to meet customer needs
- Adaptable, flexibility and a positive approach to problem solving
- Initiative, creativity and a proactive approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong IT skills
- Strong people management skills
