**The Opportunity**

Working in a team of enforcement specialists, you will help deliver an effective and efficient planning enforcement service through the investigation of planning breaches, negotiation and finding appropriate and acceptable resolutions. The role will provide you with experience of working with a variety of teams across Council departments and with elected representatives as well as external partners and stakeholders.

**Who are we looking for?**

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, motivated, and organised person to investigate breaches of planning control. You would ideally have experience of investigating complaints, monitoring sites, maintaining records, preparing reports, serving formal notices and preparing matters for court. You may already be working in a planning office or be a graduate with relevant work experience looking to take the next step in your career. You will need to be a team player and be an excellent communicator with good negotiating skills. In addition, you will need to be proactive and solution-focused and able to understand and interpret plans and policies with willingness to contribute to the delivery of excellent customer service.
