**The Opportunity**

Due to an internal promotion, we are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Asphalt Plant Operative to join our friendly team based at our Asphalt plant in Bardon Hill. Here at Aggregate Industries, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

As a Plant Operative reporting directly to the Asphalt Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible and trained to operate the two asphalt plants that are located on site and mix asphalt to specification, working with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveries. In addition to this there will be opportunity to develop as an individual with full training and support provided.

The Asphalt Plant Operative will work with an internal team to learn how to plan the mixing program, ensuring that stocks are maintained and replenished in good time. You will also carry out daily inspections on the plant and carry out generic housekeeping tasks and basic daily maintenance using a range of tools and equipment.

**What will you bring?**
- We are looking for a highly motivated General Operative with drive and enthusiasm
- Good time keeping skills are essential
- Previous experience in asphalt is desirable
- The desire for training and willingness to learn and develop both operational and supervisory skills.
- You will have a sound appreciation of Health & Safety, housekeeping and environmental regulations
- Basic mathematics and IT skills are essential.
- Some form of maintenance skills are desirable.
- Ability to work to deadline
