An exciting opportunity for an **Area Operative** to be part of a multi-skilled team producing and supplying asphalt to the Midlands of England. Working within the team at Bardon Express Asphalt, this role will encompass the following criteria.

The role itself would involve working across multiple sites in the Midlands Region and includes the mixing of asphalt on various operating systems and asphalt plants, welcoming and serving our customers on the weighbridges, upselling associated items through our shops, operating mobile plant, light maintenance and housekeeping tasks. In addition to this, the role would expand to learning the basics of asphalt quality and supporting our technical team in the sampling and testing of asphalt in both the field and in laboratory environments.

You will control the fixed and mobile plant to produce asphalt while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, quality, sustainability, efficiency & environmental awareness reporting to the site management. The role includes:

- Experience driving a loading shovel
- Maintenance experience.

- IT Literacy - Ability to operate basic data input into spreadsheets and computer systems.
