Contract Scotland has a fantastic opportunity for an **Sustainability Co-ordinator** to join our client, a Tier 1 Contractor based in Glasgow on a full time, permanent basis. Due to continued business growth, when joining this organisation as a Sustainability Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing our company’s sustainability strategies, working towards a greener and more sustainable future.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the Bid Team: Collaborate closely with the Bid Team to provide valuable assistance in tender reviews and bid responses. Offer guidance and support on current and future sustainability metrics, emphasizing Net Zero Carbon initiatives.
- Liaise with Project Teams: Upon contract award, work closely with project teams to highlight and ensure compliance with BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) requirements.
- Conduct BREEAM Assessments: Undertake BREEAM assessments for projects when necessary, ensuring compliance with sustainability standards.
- Provide BREEAM Guidance: Offer expert guidance and assistance to project and site teams in matters related to BREEAM and sustainability best practices.
- Collaborate with BREEAM Assessors: Regularly liaise with BREEAM Assessors and Accredited Professionals (APs) to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and ensure smooth project assessments.
- Support Regional Projects: Extend ongoing support to regional projects to ensure continuous sustainability compliance. This will include regular site visits and progress reports to monitor and enhance sustainability efforts.
- Develop Custom Sustainability Assessments: Take the lead in developing, managing, and monitoring tailored sustainability assessments that align with the unique needs of our projects.
- Net Zero Carbon Assessments: Play a vital role in supporting, managing, and tracking the progress of Net Zero Carbon projects, including assessments of embodied and operational carbon.
- Identify Sustainability Opportunities: Actively participate in project meetings to identify and propose opportunities for enhancing sustainability practices throughout our projects.
- Support Community Engagement: Collaborate with the Community Engagement Team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), including site-based community activities, educational support, and STEM Ambassador events.
- Stay Informed on Regulations and Legislation: Keep abreast of changes in regulations and legislation that may impact our projects, and provide relevant guidance to the teams.

**What you need to apply**:

- Ideally you will come with degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
- Proven experience in sustainability coordination or related roles.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainable practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
