This will be a key leadership role to support the Head of Financial Institutions Group Europe in facilitating the origination of cross border revenue opportunities for the Financial Institutions Group in UK and Europe with a team of specialised credit analysts and the support the growth in the Financial Sponsors, Funds, Banks, Insurance and Diversified Financials segments. You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to Financial Institutions Group Research & Analysis teams across the region, to deliver high quality, fit-for-purpose, globally consistent, and time sensitive credit analytics for proactive management and credit decision making.

You will also provide leadership and oversight across the end-to-end relationship credit management process covering Origination, Transaction Structuring, Risk Grading, Risk Analysis & Credit Approval, Documentation, Portfolio Monitoring, and Specialised Industry Research. As the first line of defence (in conjunction with relationship executives), you will ensure well managed principles and manage credit risks within a regional portfolio.

In addition, you will represent Research & Analysis and Relationship Management teams in all Group Credit Insurance and Global Internal Audit reviews and exercise senior credit approval discretion. You are expected to be a change agent and drive efficiencies across policy, process, systems and risk through role modelling growth mindset, leadership imperatives and embracing the digital agenda across both Financial Institutions Group Research & Analysis and FIG teams regionally and globally.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong experience in relationship credit management across industry segments in multiple geographies.
Highly advanced collaboration, relationship, networking, and communication skills.
Strong client focus with the capability of leading due diligence activities, negotiations, and senior level customer engagements
Strong knowledge and exposure to Risk & Compliance management along with country specific risk knowledge and understanding of the operating and regulatory environment across jurisdictions in Europe
Strategic mindset, highly commercial with a proven ability to balance risk/reward priorities.
Proven cross border leadership skills with an ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity while driving efficiencies and continuous improvement.
