Applications are invited for a full-time Research Assistant post (band 4) for 12 months, at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

The post-holder will join a unique team of clinical and research staff who are passionate about optimising mental health services through applied research, working alongside clinical services and other relevant health and education settings.

The postholder will support and enhance the clinical research activities of the Youth Mental Health Research Unit (including clinical research assessments, conduct of research, collection of data, development of audit and/or research projects, training, and project work) with a particular focus on BART II.

The post holder will receive training in the assessment measures, communicating with people with mood difficulties, and presenting to clinical teams. They should have strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, have the ability to deliver work according to deadlines, and be flexible and resilient.

The post holder will be based in Manchester at the Prestwich site in GMMH with frequent travel across Greater Manchester.

This full-time post is fixed term for 12 months.
