TRAINEE Transport Planner

This role is for an ambitious individual wishing to pursue a career in Road Haulage/Transport. The position is for a Trainee planner.

**Duties**:

- Plan and coordinate transportation routes for efficient delivery of goods and materials
- Analyze transportation data to optimize routes and reduce costs
- Collaborate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Resolve any transportation-related issues or delays

**Skills**:

- Must have A Level education as a minimum
- Must be computer literate
- Must have good geographical knowledge of the UK
- A keen interest in Transport and willing to progress
- Knowledge in using transport platforms would be advantageous for the role.

To excel in this role, you should have strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Proficiency in using transportation management systems or software is desirable. Knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management is also beneficial.

Effective communication skills are crucial as you will be collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation operations. Additionally, the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines is important in this fast-paced environment.

Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: From £22,500.00 per year
