There has never been a more exciting time to join Halton Borough Council. Our Halton Supported Housing Network is a group of 19 houses across Runcorn and Widnes, providing accommodation and support for adults with learning and physical disabilities in the community. We are looking for Support Workers to join our team to support tenants with their individual Person Centred plans to achieve maximum independence.

**ABOUT THE JOB**

As a Support worker, you will support individuals to maximise their independence by Support tenants to prepare meals, undertake household tasks, shopping and self-care. To participate in leisure activities, and social events and to escort to appointments as well as address any tasks that they are not able to undertake themselves. You will be promoting people with disabilities to engage in all aspects of their daily living and link them to meaningful opportunities within their local community.

This is a challenging but extremely rewarding role which, working on a rota basis, may include work at weekends, bank holidays and some sleep-in duties. Additional enhancements for unsociable hours worked are payable.

There is a range of working hrs and rotas available to meet your needs and that of the different services, so whatever your situation we feel we could have the right position for you, to enable you to enjoy a positive work/life balance.
