**We are recruiting for 1 x Support worker 30 hours.**

We put people first and focus on what people with a disability can do as opposed to what they cannot do. Supporting people in diverse ways is one of the reasons why Halton Community Services has won national awards. Halton Day Services provide a range of support for adults with a range of complex needs including Learning Disabilities, Physical and Sensory Disabilities and Dementia. Sited across many different venues and businesses within Halton, people have the opportunity to work in a variety of active businesses including Dementia services, catering outlets, a brewery, a hair salon, animal husbandry (agricultural small holding) shop mobility, retail and horticultural services.

This particular post is specifically for the role of Support Worker, supporting group activities within the community venues and supporting our business areas, in particular Shopmobility. We will provide the training in the field of social care, enabling you to actively support people with disabilities to market our businesses and promote our services.

The role of the Support Worker in Halton Day Services is a dual role that not only takes responsibility for supporting the day to day running of individual businesses but also provides front line supervision and support to individuals accessing the service and staff members supporting those individuals.

We will expect you to support a group in contributing to improve and develop our businesses to a highly effective and prosperous level.

Your skills, experience and confidence will be sufficient to help support the day to day running of individual business areas. You will also fully appreciate the value you can bring to people’s lives by sharing your expertise and supporting people to work within your business areas. You will be committed to making activities accessible and meaningful for people with Learning Disabilities and other complex needs.

If you do not possess a Care certificate you will be supported to work towards obtaining this qualification. Training will be provided to enable you to support adults with learning disabilities to engage in meaningful activities.

You will meet the essential criteria as outlined on the person specification for the specific business area.

A valid licence/ Car driver is desirable for this role.
