I am currently working with a mainstream secondary school in Rotherham who are looking for a Cover Supervisor to join their team next term (or sooner if available). This is contract role to cover a period of extended laeve but may become permanent for theright person.

**The school**:
A large school based in a village in Rotherham but very close to the outskirts of Sheffield that has been rated as “GOOD” by OFSTED. The school caters to children aged 11 to 18. It puts on an especially wide range of extra-curricular activities and is especiallyproud of its school productions in which the whole school gets involved. The school has an excellent reputation for their high standards of achievement in external examinations at both Key Stages 4 and 5. Staff that we have placed into the school have providedus with very positive feedback about it being a fun and supportive place to work.

**Responsibilities would include**:

- Covering pre-planned lessons across a range of departments.
- Managing classroom behaviour.
- Implementing the school’s behaviour policy and small group support.
- Pastoral responsibility of a form group.
- Maintaining welfare and safety of students.
- Opportunity to gain experience in selected departments within school - future teachers programmes.

There are potential opportunities to work on future teacher programmes, whereby the school can support you through your teacher training.

**Requirements of the role**:

- Be available full time from January 2023. Working day 8am - 3:30pm, term time only.
- Hold a degree qualification.
- Hold some relevant experience working with young individuals, ideally between the ages of 11 years - 18 years (voluntary experience is accepted).
- Hold strong behaviour management skills, comfortable managing large groups of students.
- Ability to demonstrate resilience, confidence, and adaptability.
- Experience with special educational needs is recognised but not essential.
- A hard-working ethic independently and within a team.
- Passion for supporting young people.
