**Job Title: Router**

**Reports to: Workshop Planner and Engineering Supervisor**

**Department: Engineering**

**Working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 2pm until 6pm**

***Basic Purpose of Role**
- To allocate serviceable buses to duty specifications supplied by the traffic and schedules departments. To ensure compilation of the daily depot parking plan and allocate buses to ensure that the correct vehicle types are allocated and that the vehicles run out in the required order and most efficient way. In addition, to ensure any vehicles required back in the depot during the day are allocated to the correct duties (i.e. spread over duties) to ensure engineering requirements are met.

**Main Duties**
- ** **To ensure the correct vehicle allocation.
- To liaise with Operation's to ensure correct daily allocation
- To keep staff updated on relevant information.
- To maintain records of all events on the day (i.e. changeovers, breakdowns).

***Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required**
- To have knowledge of the relevant legislation.
- Computer literate
- Must be in the possession of, or capable of obtaining a full PCV licence and forklift truck licence if required.
