To provide internal support to the Estimating & Design Team for both conventional business and fanfold / machine system opportunities. This involves the production of conventional quotations from the Ribble system, the management and production of customer samples and artwork in addition to quotations for fanfold and machine related opportunities. To be responsible for the ordering and checking of all associated conventional tooling and stereos. Provide admin support for delivery and receipt of spares and samples.
- Basic conventional quotations to cover all standard FEFCO styles, sheet board and any custom designs passed over to complete.
- Produce all customer samples from the Kasemake system. Including labelling, booking out and sending via our courier.
- Produce artwork as needed via approved suppliers to customer specifications. Deal with customer amendments to the artwork by clearly communicating the changes whilst keeping version control to the department quality system.
- Ordering of all tooling and stereos as needed from the approved suppliers.
- Check in all tooling and stereos as they arrive prior to issuing to production.
- Ensuring all signed approvals are checked and stored in line with the department quality system.
- Supply Ad-hoc reports as requested.
- Develop and build relationships with clients and be the first point of contact in respect of customer services and queries for conventional products.
- Deal with customer complaints in a professional, cost effective and timely manner.
- Proactive efforts in ensuring the most cost-effective use of board, machinery, and time to minimize lost time, wastage and increase profitability on an ongoing basis.
- Builds productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities.
- To provide a point of contact and liaison between sales personnel, customers, and production with regards to new/changed specifications and other related issues.
- Help with technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm ensuring a broad knowledge on all corrugated issues and solutions.
- Ensuring ink swatches are matched and approved by customer and issued to production.
- Ensuring price increases/decreases are effected in accordance with allotted timescales.
- To ensure that the most cost-effective use of time, machinery and board are used.
- Use the Kasemake sample table/CAD system to design / produce samples according to customer specification. Ensure sample board is stored and removed daily.
- Developing appropriate policies and standards and ensuring compliance e.g. First order pre-production checks.
- To undertake account reviews and resetting and maintaining the integrity of the abaca costing system.
- Ensuring health and safety compliance. E.G. PPE/housekeeping standards in accordance with BRC.
- Provide support cover / relief for other departments where relevant training has been provided when required.
- To undertake other roles and tasks as requested that are commensurate with the level and function of this post.
