An established family run business based in**Shrewsbury**is seeking a sales-focused Head of Marketing to help them with their ambitious growth plans. You will be working very closely with the sales teams and responsible for leading a marketingdepartment of three direct reports. The aim is to ensure that the marketing activity continues to drive new business and support account management activities. In addition, there are some exciting new projects that the Head of Marketing will be overseeingincluding the development of a new customer online portal. Career progression opportunities are certainly on offer for a commercially minded and ambitious marketing professional.

**Key duties and responsibilities....**
- Manage the marketing team effectively to enable the achievement of the objectives and KPIs as set out in the marketing plan, including the generation of new business leads in specific market sectors, from various sources (including inbound enquiries, eventfollow-ups, referrals, data lists and online searches).
- Maintaining a lead pipeline and all qualification activities to ensure an ongoing supply of sales-ready opportunities.
- Ongoing account nurturing, optimising, and developing existing accounts.
- Growth of our own-brand products - including brand awareness and portfolio expansion activities

**Requirements**:

- A strategic mindset
- A driven, credible, strong leader, able to motivate and offer direction clearly and supportively to achieve departmental objectives.
- B2B commercial experience selling or marketing consumable products.
- A background in sales and marketing which has provided an understanding of the commercial impact of marketing - ideally with experience of lead generation
- Degree and professional qualification e.g. CIM - desirable

**Benefits**
- £45,000-£55,000 (neg) plus excellent benefits
