We are working closely with companies who are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work within our partnership schools across the Newcastle area.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to support students in their learning journey. You will assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, providing support to individuals or groups of students as needed. You will also be responsible for creating and updating individualized learning plans and assisting with the tracking of student progress.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting the class teacher in the delivery of the curriculum
- Supporting children's learning, progress and well-being
- Encouraging children to become independent learners
- Developing positive relationships with children and parents
- Supporting the teacher with classroom management

**Requirements**:

- Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
- Full understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities
- Have a flexible and friendly approach
- Be committed to providing engaging and exciting learning opportunities
- Have a DBS on the update service or be prepared to request one via ourselves.

Initial Level 2 training in Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges and Children and young people’s mental health. Training is delivered at Arden House, Regent Centre, Gosforth.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
