**Contract type: Casual (cover for annual leave and sickness)**
**Salary: £12 per hour**
**Full UK manual driving licence is essential**

Using a British Red Cross vehicle, you'll provide transport to patients at Royal Victoria Hospital and occasionally from Ulster Hospital, Dundonald to enable them to be discharged. You'll support them to ensure they are are settled at home.

**What does a day in the life of a Support Worker involve?**
- Responding to referrals from Royal Victoria Hospital or Ulster Hospital.
- Assessing and supporting patients discharge from hospital. Providing practical and emotional support to service users for up to 2 weeks following hospital discharge. This could be in the form of phone calls, shopping, collecting prescriptions etc.**What do you need to be a successful Support Worker?**
- A good knowledge of services provided by the NHS and Social Care.
- Experience of supporting & assessing vulnerable people's needs.
- A full UK manual driving licence, held for minimum of two years.

**There is no personal care or administration of medication for this role.**
