The Growth Company (GC) is looking for a Head of Marketing - Business Services to lead, develop, implement and evaluate marketing and other relevant supporting activity within GC as part of the wider Marketing and Communications Team. Specifically, this role will focus on the products and services GC provides direct to businesses across Greater Manchester through its GM Business Growth Hub. The postholder will work alongside the Head of Marketing for People & Corporate Services, Head of Business Finance Marketing, and the Head of Communications to deliver an overarching, strategic marketing, and communications service on behalf of GC.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and evaluate marketing and client engagement strategies that position and promote the organisation’s business support services.
- Define measurement and impact frameworks and KPIs for customer engagement and delivery against contract requirements.
- Manage and continually review internal capabilities and supplier frameworks to support the marketing operation ensuring value and quality standards are met for current and future needs.
- Develop and nurture key stakeholder relationships locally, regionally, and nationally to ensure that the strategic approach to marketing adheres to industry and government guidelines / contractual demands and is supported both politically and financially.
- Provide advice and guidance to external organisations on the development of marketing and communications strategies that engage businesses and individuals for the benefit of Greater Manchester and at times a wider geographic catchment.
- Work across functions within the Business Finance Directorate to understand need and drive delivery of marketing activity.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues from Communications to deliver an all-round marketing and communications service to clients.
- Work across the wider company, engaging with corporate support services and other business units to build robust processes on behalf of the wider team.
- Ensure the department delivers an efficient and effective service that demonstrates clear value back to the wider business.
- Lead a team of Marketing and Digital professionals, providing leadership, support, learning and development across the team.
- Actively input into the wider plans and strategies of the Marketing and Communications Directorate, supporting the Executive Director of Corporate Affairs and Marketing.

**About You**:

- Strategic marketing professional with a demonstrable insight and evidence-based approach to planning, delivery and evaluation.
- Confident, professional, and resourceful, an open and responsive individual.
- Tenacious, resilient, and flexible, leads by example and can 'do' as well as 'guide'.
- A strong networker, influencer, and excellent stakeholder manager.

**Skills Required**:

- Experience of simultaneously leading multiple and diverse marketing campaigns across different markets and services and audiences over a large geographical base.
- Experience of building insights and analytics capability in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge and experience of digital marketing and emerging trends.
- Proven track record of successful delivery, with significant previous experience leading multi-disciplinary marketing teams.
- Extensive experience in B2B marketing and marketing to entrepreneurs, ideally with a track record in promoting services to businesses.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £50,000.00 per year
