We have exciting strategic Buyer role within our Tech and Digital category, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of commercial sourcing strategies with a focus on building strong supplier relationships and delivering value for money, you will be instrumental in transforming our supply chain and driving efficiency. **What you'll do**

As a Buyer, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and execution of commercial sourcing strategies to deliver a fit-for-purpose supply chain and value for money to Sainsbury's Group. Collaborating with Sourcing Manager, you will contribute to the development of complex commercial strategies, balancing cost, quality, and risk. Your role will involve providing analytical and research support to projects, managing sourcing events, and driving supplier appraisal, selection, negotiation, and contract management. Additionally, you will develop and execute category plans, gaining an understanding of internal and external supply markets and influencing stakeholders to support your ideas. With your commercial acumen, communication skills, and ability to work as part of a cross-functional team, you will be instrumental in delivering outstanding solutions and supporting the long-term sustainability goals of the Sustainable Futures team.

**Who you are**

As a Buyer, you are a commercially astute professional with experience in procurement. Your passion for building a career in procurement and your strong understanding of procurement principles and techniques make you well-equipped to contribute to the development and execution of commercial sourcing strategies. Your ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders allows you to successfully drive business change and deliver outstanding solutions for the organisation. With your exceptional communication skills, supplier management expertise, and experience in commercial negotiation and contract management, you play a vital role in delivering value for money and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Your desire for continuous improvement, coupled with your commitment to sustainability, makes you an integral part of our award-winning team.
