Following the expansion of the current team, the Education and Training team is looking for an experienced Trainer Assessor to support the ongoing development and provision of our Education and Training initiatives.
Led by the Deputy Director of Education and Training, you will work closely with the Training Leads and wider Workforce Directorate in providing a positive and rewarding learning journey for all staff, volunteers, carers and service users.
The post holder will be expected to travel across the Trust remit in Hampshire and Sussex to deliver and assess training. Currently the team is working to a hybrid model of home working and site attendance to support our growing training provision.

As qualified Trainer Assessor you will be able to deliver and assess our inhouse Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship programme. Supporting learners to develop required skills, knowledge and desired Trust behaviours to excel in their roles.
You will work closely and collaboratively with our Training Leads and will be experienced in working with local authorities, higher education institutions (HEIs) and NHS bodies such as Health Education England (HEE) to develop our future NHS workforce.
We provide mental health and learning disability care for children, young people and adults across Sussex and for children and young people in Hampshire.

- Delivery and presentation of complex, sensitive or contentious information to a large group of staff during training activities.
- Work with external providers to plan, promote and deliver appropriate courses for trust learners, working with them to deliver feedback and guidance post-course and direct learners in accessing future professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with Education Leads within Education and Training to update, develop and support policies such as the Mandatory Training and Induction and Apprenticeships Policy and propose policy or service changes within own area of activity and proposes changes to Training Leads to support ongoing training and support initiatives.
- Prepare assessment plans, evaluation and progress reviews that meets awarding bodies requirements and Trust strategic plans, keeping records of student progress, achievement and communicating these to managers, as required.
- To act as a qualified Safeguarding advocate and liaise with the Apprenticeship Safeguarding Lead for inhouse training programmes
- Contribute to marketing activities, internally and externally to promote training initiatives.
- Actively support other vocational training programmes by the design, delivery and assessment of a range of courses, as appropriate to skills.
- Support Training Leads towards annual external quality reviews, audits and inspections from training companies, awarding bodies and agencies such as External Quality Assurance (EQA), Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Ofsted.
