Are you a Dietitian looking for a new challenge? Or are you a Dietitian already working in mental health looking for a new opportunity to develop and expand your skills? We are looking for a motivated Band 7 Advanced Dietitian for 11 months maternity cover commencing in September 2023.

You will have the opportunity to work across a range of different mental health units within Greater Manchester. You will manage a complex caseload which will include older adults, mother and baby, substance misuse, forensic and adults of working age looking at all aspects of Dietetic care; including weight management, diabetes, nutrition support, enteral feeding, eating disorders and much more. You will be working closely with the multidisciplinary team and supervise a team of Dietitians and Dietetic Assistant Practitioners.
- To manage a specialist case load of patients with complex nutritional and psychiatric needs, using evidence based and person centred principles, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment.
- To take responsibility in planning, developing and evaluating the dietetic service and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the service.
- To manage resources within clinical and professional area with mínimal supervision e.g. staff, nutritional products and equipment.
- To actively support the GMMH Dietetics Lead, and contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust wide dietetic services and health promotion activities.
- To provide leadership to junior staff through leadership and appraisal.
