An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced dietician to join our CAMHS dietetic team. The post holder will join a network of allied health professionals, delivering high quality care to children and young with mental health difficulties across Greater Manchester.

The post holder will be based at Prestwich Hospital, but will also offer input into our Wigan and Bolton Community Eating Disorder Service.

We have 4 wards based at Junction 17 and The Gardener Unit which comprise 2 CAMHS General Acute Units (GAU), an adolescent male secure ward and a Transition Ward for 18-26 year olds. A recent CQC inspection of our GAU rated the service overall 'good' and 'outstanding' for caring.

A range of development and training opportunities are available, to support continued professional development and ensure practitioners are delivering high quality care.

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford and Trafford and offer a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond. We also provide Health and Justice Services in a number of custodial settings.
- To manage a specialist case load of patients with complex nutritional and psychiatric needs, using evidence based and person centred principles, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment.
- To take responsibility in planning, developing and evaluating the dietetic service within the CAMHS and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the service.
- To manage resources within clinical and professional area with mínimal supervision e.g. staff, nutritional products and equipment.
- To actively support the GMMH Dietetics Lead, and contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust wide dietetic services and health promotion activities.
- To provide leadership to junior staff through leadership and appraisal.
