**Jewson Hawick** is on the hunt for a **Yard Operative/Delivery Driver** who's as passionate about great service as we are.
- **Hours**:_7.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm_
- **Location**:_Burnfoot Industrial Estate, Hamilton Rd, Hawick TD9 8SL_
- **A manual driving license is a requirement for this role.**_

This role will see you assisting in many areas of the branch, mostly in the yard and warehouse but also in the branch and out in our delivery van, ensuring customers are at the heart of all you do.
- **Key Responsibilities of a Yard Operative/Delivery Driver**:_
- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values
- Help to prepare customer orders, load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a Forklift Truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided)
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Use our 3.5t delivery van to deliver orders to our local customers
- Maintain stock levels in both the shop and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
- Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
- **Required Skills and Experience**:_
- A full, clean, manual driving license
- Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
- Stellar communication and people skills
- Customer focussed individual
- Confident working both indoors and outdoors, with a strong focus on H&S
- Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items and happy to undergo forklift training
