NAIP is a nationally and internationally recognised programme of excellence working with children and adults who have severe/profound deafness.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team worker with experience in healthcare or education with a record of excellent communication and organisational skills, who has a passion for making highly technical information accessible to patients and their carers.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work alongside existing clinical associates, supporting the clinical team of audiologists, teachers of the deaf and speech and language therapists. They will prepare clinics, support with equipment management, assist in clinic appointments including hearing testing and support rehabilitation. They will play an important role in making information accessible to deaf patients and their carers providing training, technical support, information and advice around cochlear implant technology and rehabilitation.

Working for our organisation

NAIP is a nationally and internationally recognised centre for auditory implantation. The programme provides cochlear implants and other hearing implants to hearing-impaired children and adults of all ages who do not receive adequate benefit from hearing aids. NAIP offers a mix of virtual, face-to-face and remote appointments. We work closely as a multidisciplinary team to provide a holistic service for our client group, with a strong focus on service development. We provide specialist training to a wide range of professionals, and take a leading role in developing innovative resources to support assessment and monitoring of patients before and after cochlear implantation.
