Change Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting the recruitment of a Financial Accountant on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) in our client’s Edinburgh office with hybrid working.

Within the role, our professional services client would look for you to support overseas operations, working with local finance teams and offices to ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings as well as local office process and control improvement.

This role would be well suited to Qualified or QBE Accountants with strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.

The salary for the role is circa £40k - £45k.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Support preparation of year end accounts and working papers for audits
- Manage year end audits and prepare financial statements for international offices
- Provide accounting support to international offices and respond to adhoc financial queries
- Reconcile international accounting data to local accounts on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Review accounts on local accruals, statutory, group partnership and UK group stat basis
- Conduct monthly review of balance sheets / P&L / month end postings and correct where required
- Manage and implement solutions towards accounting issues for each entity in coordination with local finance teams

**Key skills and experience**:

- Demonstrable experience working within financial accounting team
- Possess strong technical accounting skills
- Professional accountancy qualification desirable
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of business
- Strong IT skills including Excel
