As a claims handler, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive claims reporting, chasing and advice service to our wide array of clients and policies.

**Duties of the role**
- Be the first point of contact for clients in the reporting of all types of claim, ensuring they receive prompt and accurate advice on either contacting insurers direct or how this will be dealt with on their behalf.
- Liaise and negotiate with insurers, underwriters and loss adjusters on client claims and chase for settlement.
- Deal with claims enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner
- Actively monitor progress on outstanding claims and provide timely and accurate feedback to clients and sales executives
- Ensure all required documentation in support of claims are dispatched to insurers
- Maintain client records with up-to-date information regarding claims history
- Control your own diary system ensuring all items are followed up by the due dates

**Role Requirements**
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the insurance industry, ideally within a Claims Handling Role
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and have a strong attention to detail
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
- Good team-player
- Driving License and access to your own vehicle

**Location**

The role is based in our Maidstone office (ME14 5SF) with some remote working.

Attendance at external meetings with insurers, clients and other offices within the group may also be required from time to time.
