**Contract Monitoring Officer**:
**Role Purpose**
- **
To be responsible for the allocation of £1.7m expenditure for the provision of external transport**:

- ** To liaise, manage and develop the relationships with the external passenger transport contractors and all stakeholders.**:

- ** To monitor, reduce spend, record and report on the performance of each area of service provided by the external contractors.**:

- ** To tender routes via the dynamic purchasing system, ensuring compliance and value for money is always a priority.**:

- ** To invoice and manage a client and contractor dashboard, promoting transparent financial analysis.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **
To assist the Passenger Operations Manager in the development of efficient and effective journey schedules that deliver set service standards.**
- **
To manage the service response to urgent transport requests and allocate appropriate resources promptly.**
- **
Be the contract supervisor for the external taxi, coach and minibus contract on behalf of Transport Service Unit. To monitor their performance on a daily basis and advise them of any changes to schedules, cancellations or referrals.**
- **
To deal with complaints and grievances from clients, users, contractors, or allocated staff, in the first instance, in line with appropriate Council Customer Promise procedures or Personnel procedures.**
- **
To ensure that all journeys are invoiced and/or recharged to the appropriate client.**
- **
To monitor the performance of journeys in relation to punctuality, journey times, quality of vehicle and driver standards and quality of care provided in accordance with individual needs of the passengers assigned either through on-site visits, reporting mechanisms or on-board quality monitoring.**
