**Main duties and responsibilities**

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to provide assistance in the smooth running of business operations within our organisation. You will have the opportunity to work closely with HR, H&S and Quality departments to gain valuable administrative and business support experience. Whilst working, you will be expected to complete an apprenticeship where you will gain a Diploma in Business Administration Level 3.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work to a high level of accuracy together with drive, enthusiasm and a proactive approach are essential requirements for the role. You should also have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.

**Role specifics**

**Support for the Human Resources department**
- Inputting data onto the database and ADP payroll system and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with employee-related payroll on monthly basis and handling any pay-related queries.
- Assisting with recruitment and onboarding of new employees
- Providing support with collating data for various HR reports
- Organising internal and external staff events, booking venues, liaising with suppliers
- Maintaining holiday and sickness records for the teams
- Maintaining team training plans and booking external courses as required. Capturing and recording team training on a monthly basis

**Support for the Quality and Health and Safety department**
- Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments
- Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation i.e. Data updated for dashboards
- Check relevant purchases mirror what is required including utility usage
- Prepare HSE reports as requested
- Maintain the site PPM schedule is current and arrange for quotes for any works as required
- Assist in the development and presentation of relevant EHS training
- Assist in reviewing HSE procedures and policies
- Maintain a PPE asset register and regularly monitor use. Replenish as required
- Monitor audit completion of the 6S programme and ensure completion as required

**General business administration support**
- Answering and directing incoming phone calls
- Distributing daily correspondence
- Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation for various members of staff
- Ordering stationery, PPE, sundries, uniforms or other office equipment
- Providing administrative support for management meetings, including booking rooms, preparing agendas and taking minutes.
- Any other associated administrative tasks as required

**Desired qualifications and skills**
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent (Maths, English Grade 4-9 or equivalent)
- Confident with both written and verbal communication and great organisational skills
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Strong team focus with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with people at all levels
- Ability to use their own initiative, solve problems and make decisions
- Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Enthusiastic and professional attitude
- Organised, friendly and approachable
