**Hours of Work: 18 hours per week, worked on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and public holidays or generally worked within office hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work**

**Work Location: Wimbledon**

**Responsible for**: Prepare drinks, rolls, Sandwiches, Panini etc, as requested by the customers. Set up the café at the beginning of the shift, ensuring all cutlery and condiments are in place and service area are clean and tidy. Liaise withKitchen, Children, and family work staff to inform them of any others made by customers or inform them if any products are running low. Set up functions and conferences to meet the requirements provided by the line manager, in a presentable fashion. Work effectivelywhen alone or with others, to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.

**Job Purpose**

To assist in all aspects of the running of a Cafe, providing good customer service, food and drink preparation and service, maximise income and customer satisfaction within the Café; keeping all Kitchen areas clean and tidy.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- To comply with all Policies and Procedures. To report to duty on times at the correct uniform, clean, tidy, no ear rings, Bangles and wearing a correctly maintained uniform as per the organisation standard.
- To assist the Chef Manager with the preparation and service of all meals and service. To acknowledge and serve all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
- Ensure that all temperature readings and record Hot and Cold Holding equipment is including fridges and freezers.
- Make sure that food is ready to be served by restaurant opening times according to menu specification, correct portion control and the correct garnish.
- Ensure that temperature checks are recorded for each meal and documented during service.
- Ensure that there is enough food available for each dish during service up until the end of service.
- To assist the Chef Manager in daily cleaning, weekly & monthly cleaning operations as required.

**Hygiene, Health and Safety**
- Report any safety deficiencies, incidents, near misses, ill health and environmental incidents to Chef Manager.
- Work safely at all times giving due consideration for the safety of others and the environment.
- Follow the organisation’s safety and environmental arrangements and procedures.

**Customer Services**
- Ensure maintain the highest standards of customer care in all areas.
- Being a positive role model for the organisation.

**General - All Staff**
- Attend all relevant training and development programmes.
- Attend all relevant cross-departmental and Corporate Office meetings as and when required.
- Undertake any other duties as requested by line manager.
