Background

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is actively seeking a qualified Group Accountant to join our London based Group Finance team in a temporary role, reporting to the Group Technical and Statutory Reporting Manager.

The Group Finance team is responsible for producing the annual statutory accounts for the ERM group, presented under IFRS. This includes the consolidation of data submitted by our Business Units (~ 40 countries) via four Regional Finance teams (EMEA, Latin America, North America and Asia Pacific).

The role offers hybrid working (office/home). During the audit period there will be an expectation to work from the ERM office to support the external auditors whilst they are on site.

The principal requirements of the role are set out below:
Role Definition
- Assist with the group audit and preparation of two sets of group consolidated statutory accounts under IFRS;
- Liaising with external auditors;
- Review year end reporting packs prepared by Business Units;
- Provide additional general support and complete ad-hoc tasks as required by Group Finance.

Skills required
- Professional qualification (ACA or similar);
- Previous experience of working in a large firm/professional services environment is desirable;
- Statutory reporting experience (IFRS);
- Good technical reporting skills;
- Proven track record of successfully completing similar projects;
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders of all levels;
- A quick learner with high expectations who takes pride in their work - with a passion to get things right and willing to work to tight deadlines when required.
