Legal Cashier/accounts

Work tasks include:
- Performing daily banking functions to ensure clients and vendors are paid accurately and on time, using CHAPS, BACS, Ipay and cheques where applicable.
- Reconciling bank accounts daily.
- Banking cheques received and entering information to the correct ledger.
- Processing expenses, credit card and petty cash accounts.
- Paying all invoices for business services and reviewing the contracts as applicable.
- Updating the Asset Register.
- Paying disbursements for clients and entering onto company database.
- Checking and authorising invoices to clients.
- Client to office transfers to pay our fees.
- Researching and resolving ledger discrepancies.
- Weekly reports to Partners and Fee Earners
- Debt collection and negotiating deadlines
- PAYE Payroll & administration duties
- Submitting the quarterly VAT return
- Continuing professional development, keeping up to date with Solicitors Accounts Rules, current VAT legislation, Data Protection Act, Anti-Bribery and Money laundering Acts.
- Keeping a log of any SRA breaches for Audit review.
- Month-End, Year End and being the key contact for the Annual Audit Review.
- Obtaining figures for Annual Indemnity Insurance quotes.
