An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on the Dorset Families Matter programme. This is a multi-agency programme responsible for delivering central government’s Supporting Families agenda in Dorset and is working closely with a range of internal and external partners, to mainstream activity and embed whole family working as an approach to supporting families with multiple needs.

We are a small, approachable, engaging, positive and highly supportive team. This is an admin based role with lots of variety and opportunities to be involved in various projects and events.

**What you can expect to be doing**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on a multi-agency project. We require a Programme Administrative Support Officer to work with us under the national Supporting Families’ initiative, implemented locally through the Dorset Families Matter central programme team based within People - Children’s Directorate at County Hall, currently Hybrid working from home and County Hall. The programme is funded via The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC).

The context of the work involves considerable liaison with colleagues from across the Children’s Locality teams but also a broad range of partners including but not limited to schools, housing, health and the Police.

The team also manage a range of contractual arrangements for the commissioning of services that contribute to the delivery of the programme and pay invoices accordingly.

**About you**:
Skills required:

- Workstation and related IT equipment.
- Responsible for ensuring data quality and as such the integrity of management information through the proper use and safekeeping of data and record systems both manual and computerised.
- There may occasionally be work content of a sensitive/distressing nature particularly in teams involving direct contact with service users.
- Work involves keyboard/computer work but with regular opportunities for breaks away from the computer to undertake other work.

- Communication: You have excellent verbal and written skills and can communicate clearly and respectfully with different stakeholders, such as social workers, managers and external agencies.
- Organisation: You have strong organisational skills and can manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently and accurately. You can also use various software and systems to record and update information.
- Teamwork: You can work well with others and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. You are also willing to learn from feedback and share your knowledge and skills with your colleagues.
- Initiative: You can work independently and proactively, taking responsibility for your own work and seeking solutions to problems. You are also flexible and adaptable to changing situations and needs.

No formal qualifications or previous experience is required but be able to evidence the relevant skills and personal qualities.

**Additional Information**:
This post requires significant travel. You must have a vehicle (or transport we deem suitable) available for use as needed.

This is an opportunity for eligible pathway to employment individuals such as care leavers, young carers and young people with an educational health and care plan. This position is offered as an apprenticeship and you will be completing a level 3 Business Administration qualification where you will be provided with a tutor and support.
