Corporate Equalities Team Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent position to join the Corporate Equalities Department as a Corporate Equalities Team Lead to deliver on equality, diversity and human rights and contribute to the management of NHS Tayside Interpretation and Translation service. This is a permanent position within the Corporate Equalities department. The Corporate Equalities, Interpretation and Translation Service provides Interpretation and Translation services throughout Tayside, for NHS Acute Services, Health and Social Care and independent contractors, including Primary Care. You will support the management of the Interpretation and Translation operational service and have a portfolio of work for equality, diversity and human rights, where you will be responsible for areas of project work, development of reports at both operational and strategic level, working within a budget, and providing advice and support across the organisation in relation to interpretation and translation, equality and diversity and human rights.
You must be able to evidence proven leadership and management and previous success in driving change and improvement, with a working knowledge and experience of healthcare. The postholder will work with a range of services and healthcare professionals across acute, primary and health and social care partners in Tayside as well as other partners e.g. 3 Local Authorities. The Interpretation and Translation service will operate 24/7, 365 days per year.
You will be committed to providing high standards of safe, effective and person-centred care within a dynamic health and social care environment. You must have the ability and commitment to work with multidisciplinary teams and local partners/agents to maintain standards of excellence and continue to improve patient experience.
You must be educated to degree/post graduate level and be able to demonstrate continued professional development and consolidation of your post basic training and education.
Hours of work are: 37.5 hours per week.
