Our busy client is looking for a dependable **supervisor** to join their well-established removal and relocation company in Glasgow on a long-term, permanent basis

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities of Job**:
Leading, managing and motivating small through to large teams. Moving/relocating/installing office furniture and other items internally to new premises, recycling centres or via storage.
- Supporting sales and management staff with bid costings and surveys
- Attendance and contribution to pre-move planning meetings
- Leading and managing moves/projects on sites and working in conjunction with a Move Manager to

complete larger projects/moves.
- Promoting company core standards and values.
- Managing team leaders and all other subordinate colleagues within team
- Educating, training and developing other team members in delivery emphasising best practice, quality and

standards.
- Leading team briefing/debriefing sessions with teams
- Providing feedback on individual and team performance to management
- Conducting technical aspects of decommissioning/commissioning of either furniture and/or IT.
- Managing external contractors during delivery.
- Ensure working practices are safe and follow company best practice standards.
- Acting as a client liaison on site between different departments and the on-site team.
- Identification of solutions to issues arising during ongoing moves and safely implementation of those
- Driving company vehicles as entitlements allow.

**Skills and Experience**

**Qualifications**:

- Full UK Cat B license (desirable)
- Team Leadership NVQ or equivalent (desirable).
- CSCS Card (desirable)
- 10SH Working Safely or equivalent (desirable)
- Emergency First Aid at Work (desirable)
- Asbestos Awareness (Desirable)
- Environmental Awareness
- SSSTS (Desirable)
- SMSTS (Desirable)

**Skills**:

- Punctual.
- Hardworking.
- Physically fit.
- Can manage and motivate a team ranging in size.
- The ability to understand the scope of works and to track progress/identify key milestones.
- Can deal with change.
- Proactively spot potential pitfalls and overcome.
- Physically fit.
- Polite, friendly manner and good communication skills.
- Careful and methodical approach to work.
- An honest and responsible attitude to other people's property.
- A strong team player but who can work on his or her own initiative

Hours of Work:

- Working to the needs of the business for a minimum of 40 hour across the week, which will include weekends or evenings when required.
- Moves between longer distances could involve overnight stays in lodgings

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,600.00-£28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
