Overview:
**Supporting Farmers, the Rural Economy, and Feeding the Country**

We are currently looking to recruit a **Production Planner** to work in the **Commercial Department** of the Llanybydder site.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the post holder will be Responsible for producing daily production plans, projections for raw material needs and ordering of agreed raw materials for the Dunbia (Llanybydder) site

**Responsibilities**:
**General Duties**
- Ensuring Planning targets are met within deadlines, without compromising quality or control of costs
- Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained
- Ensuring that Quality, Health & Safety and other Company policies are adhered to and liaising with relevant departments to ensure issues are resolved

**Specific Planning Duties**
- Ensure all planned sales volumes are entered into production plans
- Record and maintain daily KPI data
- Forward raw material requirements to internal and external departments in timely manner, informing Commercial Manager of any imbalances.
- Ensure that kill numbers are up to date for procurement department to plan sourcing
- Ensure that stocks are at optimum levels.
- Strong planning skills with ability to implement processes and procedures and to track progress.
- Build and manage relationships with external and internal teams
- Supply in good time weekly a report that highlights imbalances of stock.
- Communicate effectively with internal procurement, sales, marketing, production and store managers of current and future activity.
- Inform sales department well in advance of availability of surplus stocks to avoid last minute sales.
- Participation in the review of current systems and recommend continuous improvement in line with organisational strategy
- Ability to meet the timescales and specifications of both internal and external customers
- Produce and update group lamb plan and forward relevant information to procurement and sales department.
- Managing stock levels within product life and available storage capacity.
- Check stock sheets, confirming dates and stock rotation are acceptable and incorporated into the production plan, and making changes to production lines where necessary through involving the relevant Department Manager and Despatch Supervisor.
- Documenting all planning historical information and data, producing relevant reports as required.
